SIGMUND FREUD, A JEW WITHOUT GOD

Directed by : David Teboul

Sigmund Freud, a Jew Without God, is based on the personal letters of Sigmund Freud, from his Jewish roots in Freiberg, through his childhood and youth, his first encounter with his wife, and his experiences as a family man, who spent three hours writing every evening. Narrated by his daughter, Anna Freud, the letters depict the family’s forced deportation from Austria in the 1930s and their experiences as exiles in their new home in London, where Freud passed away in 1939.
