LUIS BUÑUEL, THE SUBVERSION OF DREAMS

Directed by : Pierre-Henri Gibert

Is a journey back to the iconoclastic artist’s roots to understand the education, encounters, fantasies, frustrations and disillusions that shaped his unique vision of the world.

It is also an exploration of the artistic effervescence of 1930's Paris, of the Spanish War and the absurdity of the Hollywood system. We will meet the greatest personalities of the time, from Picasso to Charlie Chaplin, from Aragon to Garcia Lorca, from Greta Garbo to Salvatore Dali, where orgy projects mingle with political terrorism, the rise of fascism and prohibition, espionage and cinema, reality and dreams.
